Export an Orphaned OST File to PST using Native Methods

OST file – Offline storage folder that saves Exchange server mailbox data on a local machine. Any changes or updates made to the OST file while Outlook is in offline mode are synchronized to the Exchange server after Outlook re-establishes the connection. 1. From the Outlook menu Navigate to Files —> Select “Import & Export” from the “Open & Export” menu.

2. Click Next after selecting “Export to a file,” as shown in the figure below.

3. Choose “Outlook Data File (.pst)” from the drop-down menu. and then click Next, as illustrated in the image below.

5. Select the radio option “Do not export duplicate items” and click Finish as shown in the below image, then browse to the destination directory where you want to save the exported PST.

Step-by-step instructions for Converting OST to PST:

Step 1: Begin the setup procedure by downloading and installing the software.

Download and install the setup.

To complete the installation procedure, follow the directions that appear on the installation screens.

Step 2: Select “Start Your Free Trial” from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Click Continue after selecting “OST Recovery” as the export method.
